The Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE) is the nation's largest health information exchange organization. IHIE connects disparate hospitals and physician offices, enabling medical information to follow patients regardless of treatment location. We are seeking a Marketing/Business Analyst to support our marketing and public relations efforts. If you're talented, driven, and enjoy a little fun, you'll find IHIE to be a great place to work.

Summary:  The Marketing/Business Analyst works directly with the VP, Business Development to expand and improve IHIE's brand reach in the market. As part of the Business Development team, this position will also work closely with sales and customer relationship management functions to develop marketing strategies to raise customer awareness about IHIE and IHIE's products and services.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Develop marketing collateral for Business Development and Product teams to include brochures, presentations, fact sheets, etc.
  2. Write and distribute press releases
  3. Manage vendor relationships for marketing and public relations
  4. Maintain IHIE's website via Wordpress content management system (curate regular content, monitor Google Analytics, etc.)
  5. Complete ad hoc market research as assigned
  6. Serve as IHIE's representative in partner marketing and communications committees
  7. Conduct ad hoc professional writing as assigned including letters of support, monthly status reports, proposals, etc.
  8. Manage incoming email inquiries from IHIE's website
  9. Develop training videos and materials for customers
  10. Work with Leadership team and other IHIE staff to curate content, create graphics, and design PowerPoint presentations
  11. Update/re-design existing PowerPoint presentations for speaking engagements
  12. Manage IHIE's social media channels – Twitter and LinkedIn – and maintain consistent volume of posts
  13. Manage IHIE's monthly customer e-newsletter

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field required

Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3+ years public relations and/or marketing experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong proficiency in the following Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent research skills
  • Knowledge of media relations strategy/tactics and the ability to communicate effectively with reporters
  • Ability to incorporate brand story/structure across entire communications and marketing channels
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend appropriate responses to highly sensitive topics/issues related to healthcare and healthcare delivery
  • Creative thought process that develops solutions to unique challenges
